RSA launches online only car insurance product

11th August 2010 Print

Leading global insurer RSA has launched ‘RSA echoice', a new online only car insurance product, which gives customers the flexibility and control to tailor a policy to suit their exact needs.

Customers can build on a basic level of cover by picking any combination of a range of ten additional cover options, including breakdown, in-car entertainment, emergency care and legal assistance. Most extras can be added by the customer at any point during the life of the policy.

RSA echoice is self-administered, meaning that customers will not have to contact call centres to add cover options.  They have complete control and can log into their accounts remotely, 24 hours a day. As the policy is only available online costs are reduced, enabling premiums to be kept as low as possible.

Initially available at rsaechoice.com and via leading comparison site moneysupermarket.com, it will be appearing on a wider range of online comparison sites in the coming weeks.

Keith Maxwell, Head of car insurance at RSA, commented: "RSA echoice is all about empowering the customer to take complete control of their insurance. Our customers want to be able to pick and mix their covers, rather than buying an ‘off-the-shelf' package as traditionally provided by insurers. RSA echoice not only enables them to do this but also helps ensure that customers will only ever pay for the cover they want and need."
