Buyers flock to Tingley Hall development near Leeds

Leading developer Seddon Homes has received well over 100 visitors in just 48 hours to see their new development at Tingley Hall near Leeds.

The ‘astonishing’ reaction from potential buyers is way beyond even the company’s original expectations. It follows an open weekend to unveil the show home at Tingley Hall, Tingley.

The five bedroom high spec properties occupy the estate grounds of the former hall which was long ago demolished. The high end show home, created and dressed by top interior designer, Kerry Tornetta, was unveiled at the start of August.

Seddon sales and marketing director, Denis Maddock, said: “The response has exceeded our expectations given the delicate economic climate.

“The number of people coming to look round and express an interest in buying a home here has been astonishing. There has been a constant flow of viewers over the first two weekends of the show home opening and beyond.”

He believes the high specification and quality of the finish in the homes is a big attraction.

Tingley Hall is the second venture by Seddon Homes in Yorkshire. Its first three years ago at Stanningden Rise in the Ryburn Valley, Ripponden was also a success. Other schemes in Lightcliffe and Castleford are due to be started later this year.

Denis said the positive reaction to Tingley Hall demonstrates the strength of demand for quality homes in West Yorkshire despite recent market changes: “It is our experience that there is still strong underlying demand for high specification, well-built new homes, in good locations.

“Seddon Homes has long had a reputation for quality and that has clearly impacted on potential buyers here. It shows that even in difficult economic times, quality homes at the right price are still in demand.”
