Townhouse style at Park Central in Birmingham

Two years after a collection of freehold townhouses were sold out at Crest Nicholson’s Park Central scheme in Birmingham city centre, the developer has announced that a new phase of the innovative homes will be released at the award winning development this autumn.
The exclusive selection of properties will be the only newly-built freehold townhouses available in the city centre – a marketplace typified by leasehold apartments. Just 27 two, three and four bedroom townhouses are planned for the Lower Parkside phase, which is currently under construction at Park Central. Prices have not yet been released for the new homes however given that previous phases of townhouses have quickly sold out at the development, potential purchasers are urged to register their early interest to avoid disappointment.
Jo Parker, sales manager for Crest Nicholson at Park Central, explained: “Our experience indicates that there will be high levels of pent up demand for this latest collection of townhouses. These properties are a truly unique proposition for the regional market and we are looking forward to presenting buyers with a rare opportunity to enjoy all the benefits of owning a freehold house in a vibrant city centre location – just minutes from The Mailbox.
“The Park Central townhouses are imaginatively designed homes which maximise space and light to create a high quality modern living environment. Individually-styled layouts and a contemporary internal specification are set to strike a chord with today’s aspirational homebuyers who are looking for a spacious and flexible property, but do not want to move to the suburbs as they get on and move up the property ladder.
“We have only had two previous collections of townhouses at Park Central and both have quickly sold out. These are highly exclusive properties and we cannot guarantee that there will be any further releases when this latest range of townhouses at Lower Parkside has been secured by buyers. Therefore those who are interested in these homes should contact the Park Central marketing suite and register their details for further updates and priority information.”
Within each townhouse the kitchen will come complete with a stainless steel oven, hob and extractor, and integrated appliances. The contemporary bathroom will feature Hansgrohe mixer taps and stylish Porcelanosa tiling, along with Kaldewai enamelled steel baths and chrome towel rails. Each property will feature either a garden or terrace, and homeowners will also benefit from having at least one car parking space – a huge advantage in the city centre where parking provision is at a premium.
A diverse range of properties are currently under construction at the Lower Parkside phase at Park Central. As well as the 27 freehold townhouses, there will also be 80 contemporary apartments across four individual buildings. Elsewhere at the development, a selection of one bedroom apartments is currently available in the Upper Parkside phase, with prices starting from just £90,000, or £63,000 using HomeBuy Direct. Two bedroom apartments are available from £146,500 or £102,550 with HomeBuy Direct.
Eligible purchasers with a household income of less than £60,000 can take advantage of HomeBuy Direct. The initiative sees the government and housebuilder cover up to 15 per cent each or 30 per cent in total of the property price with a loan. This then leaves the buyer with a more affordable mortgage for the remaining 70 per cent. A major benefit of HomeBuy Direct is that the buyer retains 100 per cent ownership of their property.
Bordered by Bath Row and Lee Bank Middleway, Park Central offers buyers the very best in city living, located only minutes away from The Mailbox. With eight acres of landscaped public parkland at the heart of the scheme, Park Central is a unique proposition for city living in Birmingham.
