Newquay Fish Festival

In less than a month the 8th Newquay Fish Festival will take place between 10 and 12 September.

A range of fun and fascinating activities will be held over the three days including cooking demonstrations from Newquay's finest Chefs, a special Ready, Steady Cook challenge, and a grand sand castle competition. Blue Chip Newquay (bluechipnewquay.co.uk) has over 20 properties available in or near the town, starting from just £97 per person.

Among the properties available over the festival are two Aqua Blue surf apartments in Newquay, just a ten minute walk from Tolcarne Beach. Seven nights from the start of the Festival can be booked from only £389 (£97 per person), while three nights can be booked from £280.

Sleeping four, these contemporary surfing apartments have their own surfboard storage as well as a heated outdoor plunge pool and patio area. Guests have complimentary use of the on-site sauna room and gym including a treadmill, cross trainer, bike, vibration plate, water rower, adjustable pulley and dumbbell rack.

Also available is 3 Pearl, an exclusive apartment positioned on the headland overlooking Newquay Golf Course and less than a minute from Fistral Beach. Sleeping 6, this chic property cuts an impressive figure on the rugged North Cornwall Coastline. Inside, the apartment has a spacious living, dining and kitchen space, leading onto a large decked area with sea views across Tolcarne Beach and Lusty Glaze.

Seven nights from the start of the Festival can be booked from only £599 (£99 per person), while three nights can be booked from £427.

The Festival promotes Cornish produce and features entertainment provided by local choirs and bands. A range of entertainment for the little ones will also be provided including Punch & Judy and Rock Pool shows, organised games and 'fishy' encounters arranged by the nearby Blue Reef Aquarium.
