Lincolnshire charity draws on Redrow for support

Keeping children entertained over the summer holidays is no mean feat, but the charity ST-ART has provided a plethora of activities to keep youngsters in North Lincolnshire busy.
Formed in 2004 and registered as a charity in 2007, ST-ART offers a range of arts and craft sessions during the school holidays. Around 50 arts sessions have taken place in the rural villages in North Lincolnshire over the summer.
One of the final sessions, held in Barton-upon-Humber, was sponsored by Redrow Homes – developers of Fox’s Fold in the town - and saw children transform everyday recyclable materials into bright, colourful tea cups which could grace any party.
ST-ART co-ordinator Janine Knight, who led the Redrow-sponsored session, said: “It’s very generous of Redrow Homes to sponsor the session at the Viking Resource Centre. The young people get so much out of our workshops and really enjoy taking part in these craft activities.”
Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “At Redrow we don’t just build new homes, we want to be good neighbours and part of the community. The Arts and Crafts influences of our New Heritage Collection, which is available at Fox’s Fold, made the ST-ART summer programme an obvious choice.”
Redrow’s popular new housing collection features traditional looking homes with all the character of older, period-style properties – but bright, modern, easy to maintain and energy efficient interiors.
