Gloucestershire residents can get Government help to buy their dream home thanks to a house-hunting regional roadshow.

The Gloucestershire HomeBuy Roadshow takes place at Gloucester City Council’s North Warehouse on Friday 24th September and will offer advice and information to couples and families about buying their first home and details on future developments in Gloucestershire.

HomeBuy is a government initiative set up to help those with a household income of under £60,000 buy their first home and representatives from South West Homes, Leeds Building Society and Gloucester City Council will be on hand at the event to discuss options.

Graham Phillips, HomeBuy Manager for South West Homes said: "This is the perfect opportunity for people to get on the housing ladder. If you would like to buy your own home, but cannot afford the full price, you can buy a share of between 25 percent and 75 percent and pay rent on the remaining share.

Steven Hall, Gloucester Branch Manager for Leeds Building Society added "This road show will offer a range of useful advice and information, will show you the type of homes that are available and give you the chance to register your interest."

The road show starts at 1pm and the doors will remain open until 7pm.

The Gloucester event is one of a series of regional road shows in the south-west region. The tour has already visited Cheltenham, Bristol, Wiltshire, Plymouth, Cornwall and Dorset.
