Sportsworld, the hospitality, travel and event service specialists, has been appointed as an official worldwide sub-agent to Ticketek / John Eales5. The appointment enables Sportsworld to market and sell Official Corporate Hospitality Packages for Rugby World Cup 2011, New Zealand.

Rugby World Cup, the third largest sporting event in the world, consists of 48 matches over a six week period. The Tournament (10th September – 22nd October 2011) will be played in 13 venues across the North and South Islands of New Zealand, meaning travelling clients will be able to discover a spectacularly diverse country as well as experience world class rugby.

Sportsworld, based in the UK with an Australian arm in Sydney, is offering a wide range of ticket inclusive hospitality packages catering to the varying needs of the corporate market. Options include individual match packages and packages following a specific team, as well as packages based in a certain venue or for the final round.

The hospitality options are also designed to suit all corporate budgets. Being tipped as the ‘place to be’ for the Tournament, the Eden Park Pavillion package provides a world-class, 7* hospitality facility within the grounds of Eden Park Stadium. Off-site facilities with a less formal dining experience are also available. Hospitality package prices start from NZD $745 per person (approx £340) + GST.

Jeremy Goodwin, Sportsworld’s Business Development Manager, said “New Zealand 2011 is the sixth consecutive Rugby World Cup at which Sportsworld has operated an official programme. We’re expecting strong demand via our Australian office for tournament duration packages whereas we believe the UK market will focus on attending standout group matches plus Quarter-Finals through to Final. Sportsworld is looking forward to working with Ticketek and John Eales5 in delivering a truly unique experience for our corporate clients and their VIP guests.”

Sportsworld’s experience across a magnitude of high-profile sporting events, including the recent FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, puts them in a strong position to service such a prestigious event. Owned by TUI Travel PLC, Europe’s largest travel operator, Sportsworld benefits from the Group’s relationships with the world’s leading airlines and hoteliers allowing the business to access preferential rates and offer its client a ‘full service solution’. This is a massive USP over other agents who are unable to make such upfront financial commitments.
