Age UK adds 16 Renault Master Vans to its fleet
Age UK, the nationwide charity dedicated to improving the lives of people in later life, has taken delivery of 16 New Renault Master Vans.
The charity provides essential services to older people, including information, advice and advocacy services; day centres and lunch clubs; home help and 'handyperson' schemes, and has chosen the New Master to assist in the running of the charity’s retail section which helps fund its work. The new vans will be used for collecting donations from homes and delivering the stock to the network of charity shops via Age UK’s central warehouse in Warrington.
David Coeshall, Vehicle Procurement and Fleet Manager at Age UK, said: “Our brief while tendering was to look for a van that was reliable, spacious and fuel efficient and the New Master met all of these requirements.
“The Renault Master is also comfortable, easy-to-drive and looks great thanks to its recent redesign.”
Darren Payne, Renault UK’s Director, Fleet and Commercial Vehicle Operations, said, “It’s a real privilege to be handing over 16 New Master Vans to a fantastic charity.
“Age UK does essential work in supporting elderly people and we are delighted to be working with them. Charities need to keep a close eye on their running costs, so we hope the New Master can help thanks to its huge capacity and incredible fuel economy in its class, achieving up to an impressive 870 miles on a single tank.”
