The holiday could be over for negative hotel reviews and travel horror stories posted online, according to Trip Elated (trip-elated.com), a new travel review site launched this month.

Amanda Brown, Trip Elated's resident hotel reviewer, said: "Travellers are tired of trawling through a constant array of conflicting information and bad experiences.

"Now, whether it's a cheap and cheerful hostel in France, a top-notch villa in Turkey or a honeymoon paradise in Australia, Trip Elated gives travellers the thumbs up from those who have already been there and loved it.”

Trip Elated's unique language and tone sensitive design means it only publishes reviews of places that travellers have enjoyed and want to shout about.

That means, unlike other travel review sites, holidaymakers can share their experiences without tripping up on negative or conflicting comments.

The site is carefully monitored so, if any misuse is spotted, rogue reviews can be removed within seconds.

Amanda added: "There is no room on our site for those looking to complain, criticise or moan about their bad experiences.

"Of course we want our reviews to be objective and that includes mentioning anything that fell short of expectations. But if the accommodation was not up to scratch, then it's probably not right for Trip Elated.

"Trip Elated is flying the flag for happy travelling and wants travellers who have had a good experience or discovered a hidden gem to get on board."

The Trip Elated team will be re-visiting its favourite hotels, resorts and country retreats over the coming months and recording upbeat video reviews - starting with the famous May Fair hotel in London. This new service means that holiday makers will be able to check out where to stay before checking in.
