Lloyds TSB three year fixed rate mortgage at 3.99%

Lloyds TSB has introduced a new three year fixed rate mortgage at 3.99%. The product is available to first-time buyers, house purchasers and remortgagers whose loan to value is 70% or below, meaning the deal is available to the majority of home movers - CML statistics state that the average deposit is 33%.

Stephen Noakes, commercial director of mortgages at Lloyds TSB comments, "This is our lowest three year fixed rate ever, which will be available to the majority of home movers.   We're committed to offering our customers flexible and competitive products and to support homebuyers we're also providing a free legal service on all mortgage applications for home purchases made throughout October, this could save borrowers on average £550 on their purchase.  When taking advantage of this service it makes our three year fixed product excellent value."

Homebuyers will also benefit from the free Lloyds TSB Home Harmony service, which provides access to a dedicated telephone helpline and website with details of trusted local services and tradespeople including plumbers, drycleaners and babysitters, who are all on hand to help them settle into their new home.

The product is available in branches of Lloyds TSB and Cheltenham and Gloucester.
