Golf societies, companies and other groups can see the tax man bunkered and avoid the impending vat hike by booking their 2011 golf day at Carden Park, near Chester.

The luxury four star golf resort will absorb the tax increase from 17.5% to 20% that comes into place on January 4 for any 2011 golf events.

“With 2.5% saved on the total bill, that could represent hundreds of pounds for golf societies or companies who aren’t vat registered,” says Karen Proctor, golf business manager at Carden Park.

It’s just one of the latest offers available to golfers looking to enjoy the two championship courses at this top-class venue.

Carden Park is also offering ‘one in 16 places free’ on particular 2011 residential golf packages booked before October 31st. Prices are starting from just £99 per person, including dinner, overnight accommodation, full English breakfast and two rounds of golf.

Situated within a breathtaking 1,000 acre country estate, Carden Park boasts two stunning championship courses, a driving range with 13 covered and eight uncovered bays and head professional Steve Priest available for personal tuition.

The Nicklaus Course, designed by the great Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve, unfolds beautifully in the stunning setting. The layout can stretch to 7,045 yards, but even from forward tees there’s more than enough challenge for the best players. His course is a “thinking man’s course”, with the emphasis firmly on strategy; and double option fairways offering golfers a real dilemma.

The resort also boasts the 6,824 yard, par 72 Cheshire Course, which hikes through the wooded fells behind the club’s recently refurbished clubhouse.

Carden Park’s hotel boasts 196 luxury bedrooms and suites, award winning restaurants and a sumptuous spa where tired or aching muscles can quickly be revived.
