Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s Paul Cunningham has proven himself to be amongst the Top 10 Scottish Site Managers in Scotland, winning a ‘Seal of Excellence’ in this years’ NHBC Pride in the Job Awards ceremony held last week at The Hilton in Glasgow.

This latest award follows a trio of NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ awards – won across three consecutive years. This year, Paul’s awards are for his outstanding leadership and results at the company’s Thornton View development in East Kilbride.

Recognised as the ‘Oscars of the House-building industry’ - Pride in the Job has been rewarding site managers with excellent standards on site for around 30 years, and Paul has been hand-picked from thousands of competitors across the UK to receive a ‘Seal of Excellence Award’ and a top-ten position in Scotland.

Twelve years ago, Paul started his career with the company as an assistant site manager, and has worked his way steadily through the ranks to enjoy the last five years as a senior site manager with the company. Last year Paul took over the reins at Thornton View following a successful period at the company’s Kingston Dock development in Port Glasgow.

It’s a great feeling to have picked up this award, as Paul explains: “Winning an NHBC ‘Seal of Excellence’ is a real honour, and I’m delighted to have reached this level in the competition for the first time. The NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ Awards programme recognises superb team effort and levels of excellence. This latest accolade is testamount to the team-work, experience and dedication to quality that sets Thornton View apart as one of the best sites in Scotland.”

Congratulating Paul on this superb recognition for quality and craftmanship, Steven Laurie, Production Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland comments: “Reaching the level of NHBC ‘Seal of Excellence’ recognises the commitment and exceptional standards of Paul and his team at Thornton View. To achieve this kind of industry recognition represents a significant accomplishment for Paul, and his team, against very strong competition from other site managers in Scotland.”

Thornton View is a flagship Taylor Wimpey development in East Kilbride, delivering a range of executive four and five bedroom detached homes to appeal to a broad range of customers looking to take a step up the property ladder to a larger home.
