British Car Auctions’ centre in Belle Vue Manchester has raised nearly £3,000 for leading cancer centre, The Christie in Manchester.

The staff at BCA Belle Vue Manchester nominated the Christie charity as the beneficiary of funds raised during special anniversary events marking 21 years at Belle Vue.

BCA auctioned a number of donated items including signed football memorabilia and staff also arranged raffles and sale day collections, while a number of major customers also supported BCA’s efforts during the fund-raising period.  In total, £2,855 was raised for the charity.

Christie’s corporate partnerships officer Emma Kennedy was delighted to attend Belle Vue earlier this month to receive a cheque from staff at BCA Belle Vue.

“We are celebrating 21 years at our Belle Vue centre”, commented BCA Belle Vue Car Manager, Paul Martin  “and we were delighted to give something back to the local community that has supported us so well over the years.  The staff at Belle Vue nominated The Christie as their chosen charity as it does fantastic work, both in support of those suffering from cancer and their families and in pioneering and groundbreaking research to tackle the disease.”

“We are very pleased that BCA has chosen to support the Christie with such a substantial donation,” confirmed Emma Kennedy.  “It is always rewarding to see local businesses getting involved in our activities.”
