The event coordinator, Scott Lyons, said “Kick-off is at 7.30pm with the presentation afterwards in the Goals Hospitality Area. There will also be special guest appearances by star substitutes Wyrley Bear and Walsall FC’s Swifty who will join the on-pitch battle.”
“There is still plenty of time to sponsor or donate to raise as much money for Compton Hospice who provide care and facilities for those people and their families affected by life-limiting illnesses.”
Morris – the developer behind The Quarter, Claremont, Eden Fields and The Forge developments near Birmingham and Wolverhampton- will also present one of the teams with the winning trophy and man of the match awards.
Julie Smith, regional sales director for Morris, said “Morris is always looking for exciting community projects to get involved with, so when we heard about what a fantastic job the boys were doing we jumped at the chance to help raise awareness of such a good cause.
“The reason why this event is so special is that the boys themselves have completely engineered the day’s events and it is truly inspiring to see how passionate this group of young men are.
“We are urging everyone to come down to the Goals Soccer Centre on Wednesday night to show their support to Compton Hospice and help them hit the £1million mark.”
