New home emergency cover - first three months free
With winter's first snows having already touched the UK and memories still fresh for those caught out by the last big freeze, now is the time to prepare for another cold winter. A broken boiler, plumbing leak or urgent roof repair can put severe and unexpected pressure on your finances. But the shock to your wallet could be avoided.
Customers of BUDGET home insurance can now add to their policies a new Home Emergency Assistance (HEA) product that protects them in the event of an emergency. And because the policy is a rolling contract - not an agreement for a 12 month period - customers have greater control and flexibility.
The HEA policy provides a unique three-way helpline, ensuring that a specific appointment time is agreed with the tradesperson, that they understand the problem before arrival and can bring any relevant parts to the first appointment. The policy covers major areas of home repairs, including plumbing and drainage, gas and electrical, heating, roofing, security and pests. BUDGET Insurance is currently offering the first three months' cover free.
Customers can opt to purchase the cover as part of the online purchase journey for home insurance, either direct or via price comparison sites, and are offered the cover by advisors when purchasing a home policy by telephone.
Andy Bord, Managing Director of Budget Insurance, said: "HEA pays up to £500 per claim, including parts, labour, material and VAT, when an emergency repair is needed. With prices from just £6 a month this offers significant peace of mind, and because it is an open contract, means that they are covered for as long as they want to be."
