A new style of city living at Park Central in Birmingham

Crest Nicholson is set to unveil a new style of city centre living at its Park Central development in Birmingham.
With the launch of a new townhouse showhome planned for the New Year, the developer has announced a limited number of preview tours in November for those who want to be among the first to take a look around the innovative freehold properties.
Bordered by Bath Row and Lee Bank Middleway, Park Central comprises a mix of stylish, contemporary new homes around eight acres of landscaped public parkland. With a range of apartments currently available in the Upper Parkside Phase at Park Central, priced from just £90,000, the new £15 million Lower Parkside phase is currently under construction, featuring 80 apartments and 27 freehold townhouses.
A professionally-styled showhome is planned for the Lower Parkside phase, giving homebuyers the chance to walk around a completed townhouse and to see for themselves the living space and lifestyle that can be enjoyed in these exclusive properties.
Jo Parker, sales manager at Park Central, explained exactly what purchasers can expect from the homes. “This new phase of townhouses at Park Central has been designed to appeal to a range of buyers and the collection features two, three and four bedroom homes. In a departure from the common perception of a city centre property, the townhouses have the huge advantage of being freehold properties. They have flexible layouts with a high quality internal specification, together with allocated car parking and private outdoor space such as a back garden or tranquil terrace.
“We are already dealing with high levels of interest in the new townhouses. While apartments will always have an appeal in the city centre marketplace, we are seeing a great deal of pent up demand for townhouses and potential purchasers are very keen to take a closer look at a completed property. While the showhome will not be launched to the public until January 2011, we will be opening the property for a limited number of preview tours in November, so those who want to see this new style of city centre living for themselves can simply register their interest at the marketing suite and secure their viewing.”
According to Jo, the showhome will not only demonstrate the appeal of the townhouses, it will also provide design inspiration for style conscious homebuyers. Jo added: “The townhouse showhome will feature the very latest trends in interior design and, without giving too much away at this early stage, every aspect of the professional scheme will prove how understated elegance with stunning metallic accents can really make a statement in homes this autumn/ winter.
“The team here is very excited about the launch of the new showhome and to being in the privileged position of giving visitors to Park Central something new to see, something that encapsulates how far the development has progressed in recent months.”
A selection of apartments is currently available in the Upper Parkside phase at Park Central, with prices starting from just £90,000 for a one bedroom design and from £146,500 for a two bedroom property. Prices for the new Lower Parkside phase will be released later this year.
The apartments and townhouses at Lower Parkside have been designed to meet high national design standards, meaning homeowners benefit from living in a low maintenance property that is significantly more environmentally friendly and energy efficient than the vast majority of second hand homes on the market.
Each new home will also come complete with individually-designed kitchens featuring a stainless steel oven, hob and extractor, and integrated appliances. Contemporary bathrooms will feature Hansgrohe mixer taps and stylish Porcelanosa tiling, along with Kaldewai enamelled steel baths and chrome towel rails. This quality, hand-picked specification has proven popular with purchasers on previous phases at Park Central, as it means homeowners can move straight in without the hassle of undertaking any costly DIY projects.
