Festive treats are set to transform Staffordshire's Trentham Estate in to a winter wonderland, with a magical mixture of seasonal shopping, frosty gardens, ice-skating... and even tap dancing turkeys.

Following the grand Christmas light switch-on November 12th by 'Titan the Robot', The Trentham Estate is promising a spectacular line-up ranging from a lakeside Winter Ice Rink - with real ice - to Christmas gift-buying in the ever-popular shopping village, complete with festive street entertainment.

For Christmas, the 725-acre Estate takes on a whole new look.

Trentham's Winter Gardens offers visitors bracing walks along the lakeside, through the Italian Gardens or the sweeping parkland, with any frost and snow creating a picture-perfect scene - perfectly complimenting the Winter Ice Rink, which makes its return from 12th November to 27th February 2011.

And brand new for 2010 a "Fire & Ice" theme will add even more excitement to the Winter Gardens with fire-eaters and flame jugglers entertaining visitors during the interludes between skating sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings - as well as every evening from 17th to 23rd December inclusive.

Fountains will be specially illuminated while floodlit trees and Christmas lights around key features, such as the Trellis Walkway, will add even more sparkle to the gardens.

Trentham Shopping Village provides the perfect spot for anyone looking for festive seasonal shopping, offering over 60 individual shops housed in a charming timber lodge village, while Trentham Garden Centre not only sells gardening produce, but a wide range of lifestyle goods as well as housing three of the 14 cafes and restaurants across the site offering festive menus and seasonal treats.

Bursting with inspirational gift ideas, the village will be the venue for a full programme of seasonal street entertainment as well as late night shopping on 12th November plus 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd December until 8pm.

Among the festive fun lined-up for the village is Jack Frost, a crystal ball manipulating, contact juggling living statue, and Rudolph on Stilts - where the ever-enthusiastic reindeer aims to make sure that Santa's sleigh wont get too heavy - as well as the return to Trentham of Bjorn the polar bear.

A special Christmas area will host a 'seasonal village' - including, of course, Santa's Wonderland with Mr & Mrs Claus's Grotto - while a winter market selling seasonal favourites and festive treats will set-up stall from 12th November to 24th December.

And for those who want to know more about the Tap Dancing Turkeys - live and acoustic, they promise a festive and feathery combination of tap dance, turkey talk and Christmas shopping tips!
