Heroes and villains on demand

12th November 2010 Print

With autumn now in full swing what better time to curl up on the sofa, batten down the hatches and enjoy some of the best heroes and villains ever to grace the silver screen. Back in the day a hero and a villain were all you needed to make a great film and this month Virgin Media Movies on Demand is paying homage to some blockbusting titles with a dedicated section, Big Movie Weekend: Heroes and Villains. Packed full of new movies including Robin Hood, Killers and Kick-Ass there is something for everyone whether it’s a hero in spandex, or a villain you just can’t help but love to hate.

A cosy night in wouldn’t be complete without a takeaway so Virgin Media has teamed up with Just Eat, the UK’s best local online takeaway service, to offer all customers who buy any of the films from the Big Movie Weekend: Heroes and Villains promotion a £5 voucher to use when ordering their favourite take-away from Just Eat.

Also this month the most anticipated show of the season The Walking Dead premieres on FX and FX HD and Virgin Media customers can catch-up on each new episode on demand for up to seven days. Andrew Lincoln plays Sherriff’s deputy Rick Grimes, who wakes from a coma in a deserted hospital to find the world he knew gone. A zombie epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has ravaged America, leaving it in a state of crisis. Rick embarks on a dangerous journey to Atlanta to find his missing wife and son,but he and the other survivors struggle to hold onto their humanity while trying to battle against the 'walkers'. Critically acclaimed on its debut in the U.S; this is one not to miss.

There’s also a range of hit movies for the whole family including How To Train Your Dragon in stunning HD and from dragons to cute kitties don’t miss Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore from the 29th November. For even more entertainment TV Choice is packed full of televisual treats for the kids all month long whether they love Angelina Ballerina, Ben 10 or the Wind in The Willows.

Virgin Media’s Music On Demand has got Take That fever this month and is celebrating the most talked about reunion in history with a Robbie Williams takeover and special section dedicated to the very best Take That tracks. If you haven’t been able to get your hands on the most wanted tickets in showbiz you can reminisce to Babe, dance to Relight my Fire and sing your heart out to A Million Love Songs in the privacy of your living room with Virgin Media Music On Demand.
