Mini VIPs open show home in Halifax

Children from Moorside Community Primary School paid a special visit to Redrow’s latest venture in Halifax where they officially opened the new show home.
Members of the school council were invited to cut the ribbon as Redrow celebrated the launch of the development, which is opposite the school on Keighley Road in the town.
Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented: “At Redrow we don’t just build new homes, we want to be good neighbours and part of the community. With the school so close by we wanted to involve the children in the launch of Wheatley Chase and were delighted that the school council were able to help us celebrate this milestone in our business.”
Wheatley Chase features designs from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection of traditional looking homes with modern interiors styled for 21st century family living.
The new ‘Warwick’ show home is now open to the public.
Adele Simpson, head teacher of Moorside Community Primary School, said: “The children enjoy being part of the community and with the development being close to the school it was a pleasure for them to be given the opportunity to open the show home. In years to come they will be able to look back and remember the occasion with fondness. Who knows, some of them may even go on to live in the properties at Wheatley Chase.”
The three-bedroom ‘Warwick’ with its traditional bay window and decorative door cornice is a prime example of how Redrow has brought the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement up to date.
Inside, the property boasts an open plan kitchen-diner with fashionable floor to ceiling units offering plenty of storage plus the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances. French doors leading from the dining area to the garden give meal times an alfresco feel; while the separate lounge offers a relaxing atmosphere.
A ‘Warwick’, similar to the show home, could be yours from £181,999. And with the Government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme available on selected properties eligible purchasers could initially save almost a third of the price of a brand new home.
“The combination of the family friendly features of the homes, plus having the school nearby makes Wheatley Chase an ideal place for those with children to put down roots,” Patsy said.
“I would urge house hunters in Halifax to visit the development and see for themselves all that a brand new Redrow home has to offer.”
The ‘Warwick’ show home is open from Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
