After making the decision to move house, it’s only natural that you want to find and move into your new home as quickly as possible, but when you’ve got an existing property to sell, trading up isn’t always that simple – unless you’re buying with Persimmon Homes.

At the company’s Woodlands development in Barham, near Ipswich, the much acclaimed Part Exchange Plus scheme, which has already assisted several new purchasers in Barham, is the ideal option for those wanting to move up the property ladder as it eradicates the worry of finding a buyer for their old home.

Mark and Frances Bolger bought a beautiful five bedroom house at Woodlands through Part Exchange Plus and they’ve never looked back. Mark comments: “We knew we’d like to move but weren’t desperate as we wanted to wait for something really special, so when we saw the Tiverton design being built at Persimmon’s Woodlands development, we knew we’d found the house for us.”

Frances adds: “The idea of being able to sell our old house to Persimmon and not have to even think about finding a buyer and being stuck in a chain was such a relief.”

After viewing the sumptuous Tiverton showhome, the Bolgers couldn’t resist reserving their own design, which suits their family’s needs exactly.

Mark states: “With a large kitchen, separate dining room and a living room, plus five sizeable bedrooms, we have plenty of space for ourselves, our son Benjamin, and guests. We couldn’t ask for more from our new home or the development in fact as we’re nestled into a quiet cul de sac and our garden backs onto beautiful woodland.”

Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia, adds: “Househunters from far and wide have fallen in love with our range of properties at Woodlands and as we offer a selection of executive properties, invariably they have an existing home to sell. Part Exchange Plus therefore has fast became a successful incentive for our buyers like the Bolgers, so much so that just a handful of designs now remain for sale.”

Through the scheme, Persimmon will arrange and pay for three valuations and will then purchase the old house, meaning homebuyers are rest assured that they don’t have to finance any estate agents fees or find a purchaser and can therefore concentrate their time on moving into their dream home.

Prices at Woodlands start from £292,000 for the five bedroom Kenton housetype and from £339,500 for the Tiverton design.

Woodlands is being constructed among areas of open space and mature woodland, making it a pleasant and peaceful place to call home. The development is situated close to open countryside on the outskirts of Barham.

The village centre hosts local amenities including a post office, newsagents, convenience store and a traditional English butcher, while a larger supermarket is just over three miles away. Good local schools are also found just two miles from the development.

Ipswich itself includes all the necessary facilities expected of a modern town and more, with local and high street shops, evening entertainment and a plethora of restaurants and cafés.

Commuters will be pleased to note that Needham Market train station is two and half miles away, with regular trains running to Ipswich. The mainline station offers a direct link to London’s Liverpool Street Station in under an hour.

If you would like to register your interest in the last remaining homes available at Woodlands, please contact the marketing suite, open Thursday to Monday from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
