Grand Designs Live returns to London’s Docklands

One of the UK’s most innovative and inspirational consumer home shows Grand Designs Live, will make its triumphant return to London for the seventh consecutive year, from the 30th April – 8th May 2011 at the ExCeL Centre in London’s Docklands.  

Grand Designs Live is the UK’s No.1, award winning consumer show for innovative design and inspiration for the home. With seven distinctive sections including the spectacular Grand Village which hosts a number of full scale properties, Grand Build sponsored by VELUX, Grand Interiors sponsored by Dulux, Grand Gardens, Grand Bathrooms, Grand Technology sponsored by Virgin Media and Grand Kitchens sponsored by Miele, as well as Grand Food, the show offers everything to buy, build and furnish your home  - under one roof.

The 2011 show will offer a variety of exciting interactive features which encompass stylish and unique interior products, cutting-edge design and never seen before eco technologies.  Grand Designs Live also hosts the UK’s largest selection of kitchen designs by some of the world’s top manufacturers in Grand Kitchens sponsored by Miele. Visitors can also experience live demonstrations by Michelin Star chefs in the Live Kitchen Experience sponsored by Miele.

This year’s event will also see the return of the Grand Technology, featuring a range of the latest technology and an interactive showcase of the very best gadgets and domestic gizmos for inside and outside the home, in the House of the Future sponsored by Virgin Media,

Visitors will also be able to gain free expert advice from industry experts on everything from planning and finance to build and design in the Grand Designs Expert Advice Centre sponsored by VELUX.  New for 2011, the Grand Gardens hall will host a Garden Design Studio which will see a range of top garden designers offering advice and planning assistance for your garden needs in a free one to one consultation.

Visitors with an interest in topical issues associated with sustainable builds, greener living, and interior design trends can visit a range of seminars in The Grand Seminar Theatre located in the Grand Village. Chaired by the Grand Design guru himself Kevin McCloud and architect and TV presenter George Clarke (The Home Show, Restoration Man) as well as a range of other celebrity and industry experts, the schedule of inspirational debates will challenge designers and building trade experts to provide practical and informative information on the latest in housing, sustainability, innovation,
