Daihatsu appoints Pulrose Motor Services

Japanese compact car specialist Daihatsu has increased its dealer network in Pwllheli, following the appointment of Pulrose Motor Services Limited, Gwynedd, proving that it’s not all doom and gloom in Wales for the automotive industry.

The Welsh-speaking, family-owned dealer first opened its doors more than 25 years ago and, together with its seven experienced staff, has established excellent relationships with its existing franchise, and will offer a full range of new and used Daihatsu products.

Dealer Principal, Malcolm Hughes, said: “We are delighted to be appointed to a franchise which allows us to work in partnership with, and that is synonymous with reliable, low-polluting and economical compact cars. Despite the difficult economic climate, we hope to not only generate repeat business from satisfied customers but also to win new converts.

“This has helped us build up a loyal band of customers who have tended to stay with us over the years – very useful in these challenging times.”

Paul Hegarty, Operations Director, Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors Limited, said: “Global environmental issues, social changes, and shifts in consumer values are all combining to put compact cars in the spotlight. Since Daihatsu Motor Company was established in 1907, we have been focused on compact cars. This is an age with many issues. Big is not better anymore. Rather, small is smart. Our cars are friendly to the environment as well as being people friendly. As a company we are practical, innovative and imaginative and we aim to become the world’s leading compact car maker.

The Coleshill-based importer signed up 18 new dealers during 2008 and currently boasts 100 UK showrooms.

Meanwhile, Daihatsu’s incredible 5/5/5 offer on Terios, consisting of five years free servicing, five years warranty and five years roadside assistance on registrations up to 31st March 2009, continues to demonstrate Daihatsu’s proven credentials in helping owners reduce their motoring costs.
