8th December 2010 Print

BT has entered into an agreement with popular children’s entertainers, The Wiggles, to bring their educational entertainment show to BT Vision Kids.

Available from December 2, the BT Vision Kids channel will feature The Wiggles television show on demand and six specials. BT Vision is the only service where children will have on demand access to The Wiggles through their TV.

Under the terms of the deal, viewers will be able to watch, pause or rewind Jeff, Anthony, Murray, Sam and their Wiggly friends Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus whenever they want.

BT Vision is partnering with The Wiggles on the eve of the group’s 20th Birthday. Formed in 1991, The Wiggles still perform to more than a million people a year, across 200 shows and have sold more than 30 million DVDs and CDs worldwide. The popular kid’s entertainers have no signs of slowing down with a 15-city UK tour already confirmed for 2011.

Mike Conway, general manager of The Wiggles, said: “It’s great to be working with such an innovative and forward thinking organisation as BT Vision. We’re delighted to be a part of this wonderful platform and are looking forward to the opportunity to reach out to young children and their families on the BT Vision Kid’s Channel.”

Marc Watson, chief executive of BT Vision, said: “We are exceptionally happy to be partnering with The Wiggles to bring their high quality educational entertainment to the Kid’s channel on BT Vision. We are proud to be able to share some of the bands greatest hits with BT Vision Kid’s viewers as and when they want.”

BT Vision's Kids TV is already a firm favourite with children and features top shows from popular channels, including The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney XD. From cartoon capers and sci-fi superheroes to teen dreams and high school drama – there are shows for all ages and all without any ads.
