An industry report conducted by the UK's leading used car valuators, Glass's, has revealed that three Land Rover models are amongst the top ten ranked vehicles retaining the highest residual values over the first three years of ownership.

The three year-old (57 plate) Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto ranked in fourth place, Discovery 3 2.7 TDV6 in sixth place, and the Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 ninth in the top ten ranked vehicles.

Adrian Rushmore of Glass's said: "The British love affair with the 4x4 has meant residual values of several models have remained high. In Glass's list of the top 10 best performing three-year old (57-plate) models in terms of residual value, Land Rover claimed three spots. Besides the aspirational appeal of the Land Rover brand, consumers have remembered how well their Land Rovers performed in the extreme winter weather last year and this has also impacted positively on their residual value. "

Colin Green, Land Rover managing director added: "Land Rover vehicles offer stylish design, ground-breaking technology, and unrivalled all-terrain capabilities making them the ideal vehicles for all weather conditions. Our approved used vehicles have been thoroughly checked by specialist technicians and come covered by Land Rover's comprehensive warranty. Now with excellent residual values and finance offers available across the range, ownership has never been so appealing."

USED VEHICLE LOCATOR

As demand continues, Land Rover has now launched a mobile version of the 'Used Vehicle Locator' (UVL), suitable for iPhone and other mobile browsers. The mobile UVL enables users to perform a basic or an advanced used vehicle search in order to find the best local deal on a used Land Rover.

The basic search will allow the user to define the search by model, price, transmission, fuel type and postcode. The advanced search will filter further by variant, mileage, age and colour. Users can then select their chosen vehicle and submit a quick and easy 'call me back' form which is then emailed directly to the local Land Rover dealer.

The desktop version of the UVL will also allow users to text vehicle details to a mobile through SMS so that users are able to view current selections via the mobile version.

The mobile Used Vehicle Locator is free and can be found by simply entering: m.used.landrover.co.uk into your mobile browser.  The desktop version can be accessed online – at usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk.
