This new range of experiences has been launched by the hotel following on from a demand for more hands on activities. Visitors can choose from a range of action packed activities during the daytime or evening giving an insight into birds of prey. Participants will be taught where you can handle, feed and fly a hawk, owl and falcon whilst learning numerous interesting facts. With courses starting from just £35 per person it's a great excuse for the whole family to learn more about these magnificent birds of prey.
More in-depth knowledge can be gained on an introductory half day course to learn about the equipment and handling of the birds. This also includes flying tuition and walk through a forest where the hawk will follow from above. Half day introductory courses with an overnight stay, dinner and breakfast for a couple are £280.
The birds can also be hired as part of a wedding celebration at Chiseldon House Hotel. With weddings, for example, a bird of prey can swoop down and deliver the bridal rings to the best man or a person of your choice before returning to the falconer. There will also be opportunities to handle the birds and get some great photographs for that memorable day. The bird of prey unique wedding experience costs just £350.
