Redrow brings New Heritage Collection to the Midlands

With five new site starts in the Midlands – three of which will launch at the start of the year – Redrow is looking forward to 2011.
The award winning housebuilder has seen success across the region with its New Heritage Collection and hopes the popularity of the designs will continue at a number of new sites, including those in Stafford and Telford, both due to launch in January.
A third development, in Bilston, will be on sale shortly afterwards, to be followed in the spring by new ventures in Worcester and Rubery.
Matthew Pratt, managing director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “In 2010 Redrow returned to its roots of building premium quality, family homes that people really want to live in and it’s proved to be a great success for the business not just in the Midlands but throughout England, Scotland and Wales. With traditional looking exterior designs and a high quality, modern specification, it is gratifying to see the strong interest in our homes, which is resulting in increases in both selling prices and margins.
“We’re looking forward to starting the New Year on a high with sales starting at three more developments in the Midlands.”
Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, but with interiors styled for 21st century living, the New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product that combines the best of old and new.
“The New Heritage Collection has been immensely popular in the Midlands, where we have been selling the traditional looking homes from sites in Tipton, Nuneaton, Swadlincote and Earl Shilton,” Matthew added.
Some 232 homes are to be built at Trench Wood Gardens in Telford. The 23.5 acre site in Sommerfeld Road will see the redevelopment of a former iron, gas and rubber works.
At Castle View in Stafford, a 19.5 acre site in Doxey Road is being developed to provide 145 new homes.
The launch of Trench Wood Gardens and Castle View will be followed by the opening of Chestnut Walk in Bilston. Some 149 properties are to be built in Dudley Street, Bilston, a 13.8 acre site that was once home to a former iron and steel works.
Redrow has also been given the go ahead to build 148 homes at Earl’s Court Farm in Worcester and 100 properties at Great Park, Rubery. It is hoped that those sites will be launched in the spring.
