Time is running out for house hunters who want to snap up a brand new home in the East Lothian village of Prestonpans.

Redrow apartments and family homes at The Potteries have proven so popular that just six properties remain.

Mary McHutchison, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), commented: “Location and affordability are key factors when choosing a new home and our stand-out range of properties at The Potteries ticks all the right boxes. Close to the coast and countryside and with excellent commuter links to Edinburgh, the development enjoys a prime location.

“Combined with the fabulous mix of apartments and family homes, all with high specification interiors, it’s no wonder we’re now fast approaching the end of the development.”

The remaining properties offer a choice of two-bedroom apartments, priced from £133,000, and three-bedroom homes, on the market from £159,500.

With a combined kitchen-diner, plus separate lounge, the ‘Argal’ style apartments make ideal starter homes and are also well suited to downsizers looking for somewhere more manageable. The en-suite to master bedroom adds a touch of luxury to modern apartment living.

There are two styles of three-bedroom homes available at The Potteries. The ‘Ivel’ enjoys a convivial open plan layout, combining the kitchen, dining area and lounge; while the ‘Fairwood’ has an open plan lounge and dining room with a separate kitchen.

Designed to maximise efficiency and minimise waste, the homes at The Potteries are well insulated and include central heating and double glazing as standard. And because on average new Redrow homes are 40% more energy efficient than properties built just 10 years ago, customers won’t have to crank up the heating to keep warm in the winter but should save money on their utility bills.

And because everything is brand new Redrow customers can put their own stamp on their new home from day one without having to worry about inheriting someone else’s decor or DIY disasters.

“The Potteries has plenty to offer a whole host of purchasers from first time buyers looking to make their first step on the property ladder, to growing families in need of extra space, or empty nesters who want a home that’s easy to maintain and efficient to run. But with such limited availability I would urge anyone serious about buying a new home to visit our marketing suite without delay,” Mary commented.

To be in with a chance of snapping up one of the final homes at The Potteries, visit the development in Jim Bush Drive, where the marketing suite is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
