motors.co.uk launches used car search for iPad
Motors.co.uk is launching an iPad app to complement their iPhone and Android applications to help maximise the ways people can search for their next car.
The used car website, which currently receives over 2.7 million visitors across the network every month, is the first of its kind to launch car search apps across all platforms after seeing visits to its website from mobile devices increase and downloads from its iPhone and Smartphone app reach 72,000 in just eight months.
Launched this week, the motors.co.uk iPad app is the latest addition to the site’s online family and will feature an innovative search system created to make looking for and comparing vehicles easy and convenient for iPad users. Buyers can search for their ideal make and model from around 150,000 used cars from retailers and private sellers both locally and across the UK.
Buyers can also browse the site’s online car reviews and catch up on the latest motoring news. The app can be downloaded for free and features a unique search function that helps users find their ideal car by finding the vehicle against a list of chosen requirements.
Katie Wardle, Head of Marketing at motors.co.uk, said: “We are in a technological era where people expect to be able to do more on their mobile and tablet devices while on the move and that includes searching for their next car.
“Feedback on our iPhone and Android car search apps has been extremely positive and now that this utility is available on iPads too, the motors.co.uk car search really is available to everyone, anytime, anywhere.”
To celebrate the launch, motors.co.uk is running an online competition and will be giving away three iPads. All participants need to do is ‘like’ motors.co.uk on Facebook or ‘follow’ motors.co.uk on Twitter and answer one of a number of questions that will posted over the first week of January. They will then be entered into a prize draw.
