Taylor Wimpey continues to make its mark in Coventry

Taylor Wimpey Midlands has cause for celebration after being granted planning permission for its new development of 144 homes on Browns Lane in Allesley, just eight weeks after submitting its application.
The residential development is being built on the land which was formerly home to Jaguar Cars and Taylor Wimpey is due to start selling off plan in January.
Prior to submitting the application the house builder undertook extensive consultation with members of the local community; using their feedback to shape the final scheme.
Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to be in a position to move forward with our plans and are looking forward to transforming this land into an attractive development, bringing much needed, high quality homes to the area.”
A full range of two, three and four bedroom homes, including three bedroom bungalows, are due to be built appealing to house hunters including first time buyers, families and downsizers.
Anne adds: “The success we’ve experienced in Coventry and across the region demonstrates the continuing demand for quality homes in the right location. This new development reaffirms our commitment to investing in the region and we’re confident that it will be a great success.”
Browns Lane was originally built as a World War II ‘shadow factory’ run by the Daimler Motor Company, before being leased by Jaguar Cars in 1995. It was the site of all Jaguar production until 1998, and remained the company’s home until 2005.
House hunters keen to be the first to find out information on the homes being released for sale mid-January should register their interest now at taylorwimpey.co.uk/midlands.
