Ferrari increase sales in USA and Canada by 20%

After the record results achieved in China, Ferrari’s preliminary figures for the North American market show that 2010 was a record year for the marque.

The USA, which has always been Ferrari’s primary market, and Canada together have posted an increase in sales of nearly 20 per cent compared to the previous year, with over 1750 cars sold.

This record is particularly significant in the light of the continuing challenges of the economic climate. The company’s two V8-engined models – the Ferrari California and the 458 Italia, sales of the latter having started in the summer of 2010 - have met with considerable success.

The number of dealers has also increased, and the US network can now count on 36 dealers across the nation. 2010 also saw the complete renovation of the New York show room in Park Avenue, with a Ferrari Store, one of the 40 Prancing Horse Stores worldwide, of the same size located in the adjoining space next door.

During 2010 Ferrari North America continued its commitment to charity events, auctioning the first 458 Italia imported to raise funds for relief aid in Haita.
