Kerikeri couple find new home in Innerleithen

When Mr and Mrs Blair decided to leave Kerikeri in New Zealand after 11 years to be closer to family and friends in Scotland, Clough Mills in Innerleithen was the perfect place to call home.
After searching several locations they discovered Innerleithen with its picturesque surroundings. Mr and Mrs Blair were originally looking at period properties in the area, believing that anything new build would be out of their price range or not suitable for their space requirements. Miller Homes soon proved the couple wrong as they snapped up a beautiful, four bedroom ‘Severn’ at Clough Mills; and, with the help of Miller Homes’ professional sales team, enjoyed an exciting and stress free start to their new life after just one visit.
Mrs Eileen Blair said: “As soon as we arrived at Clough Mills we knew that we had found our perfect location. The area is semi-rural and really stunning – we were instantly reminded of Kerikeri and of many fond memories from our time there. Clough Mills is a picturesque location and being close to our family has helped us to settle into our new home. Our house is incredibly spacious and with three grandchildren, the extra bedrooms and second en-suite are an added bonus.
“The icing on the cake was the service we received from Miller Homes and from Elizabeth, the Sales Advisor. Every effort was made to support us and provide advice from the initial paperwork through to the moment we received our keys and even now as they are always on hand to check we are happy. Elizabeth even helped me to get my dream kitchen as I wanted the exact one that’s in the show home!”
AnneMarie Britton, Sales Director at Miller Homes Scotland East, comments: “Buying a new home and starting again in another country can be daunting, which is why it’s so important to Miller Homes that we are able to make it a happy experience, from start to finish. It is fantastic that Mr and Mrs Blair have been able to find a home for life that allows them to enjoy time with their family with the same tranquillity they were used to in New Zealand.”
Mr and Mrs Blair aren’t the first to notice the fantastic customer service offered at Miller Homes sites across Scotland. In October, Clough Mills site manager Patrick Malyn became a Scotland Regional winner in the ‘Large Builder’ category of the Scottish Pride in the Job Awards 2010, recognised by the National House-Building Council (NHBC). Plus, a recent independent report has shown that 100 per cent of Miller Homes customers would recommend them to their best friend, proving that buyers can be confident of discovering their dream home and receiving an award winning service.
Still available are two stunning three-bedroom semi-detached Tamar homes. Prices range from £159,000 to £172,000. Clough Mills offers a range of incentives to make life easier for those looking to buy a brand new home including Miller Homes’ successful shared equity scheme MiWay, Deposit Match and the recently re-launched MiSwap which now gives house hunters an even better deal.
