The Irish Football Association today unveiled Vauxhall Motors as their new title sponsor of the Northern Ireland International teams.

Vauxhall, one of Britain's leading automotive brands with a 108-year history of car manufacturing in the UK, has signed a three-and-a-half year agreement with the Irish FA.

The sponsorship includes all senior international fixtures including Euro 2012 and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

As well as the senior men’s team, the partnership includes women’s national squads and all national age group teams.

Announcing the partnership at Windsor Park today, Irish FA Chief Executive Patrick Nelson said:   "This is truly fantastic news for Northern Ireland football.

"Attracting a sponsor of the calibre and prestige as Vauxhall is great testimony to the progress we are making here.

"The support of Vauxhall will be invaluable in helping us deliver further footballing progress at a senior and junior level."

Vauxhall Managing Director Duncan Aldred said: "We are delighted to be the new title sponsor of the Irish FA.

"We are making a big commitment to football and Northern Ireland is an extremely important piece of this commitment.

"Football and cars are two of our nation's biggest passions and this partnership is a clear and unequivocal sign that Vauxhall is firmly behind not only a successful Northern Ireland  senior team but is also committed to supporting grass roots initiatives covering youth and junior football as well as women’s football and disability football."

Northern Ireland International Manager Nigel Worthington said: "I'm delighted that Vauxhall are putting their faith in Northern Ireland football.

"We are all really pleased to have them on board and are sure this is going to prove a very fruitful and successful partnership."

Today's announcement at Windsor Park completes a hat-trick of sponsorship announcements by Vauxhall in the past three days.

Earlier this week Vauxhall announced they had also signed agreements to be the lead partners of the English FA and the Football Association of Wales.
