David Coulthard to open Scottish Caravan & Outdoor Leisure Show

The Caravan Club is delighted to announce that Caravan Club member, David Coulthard MBE, former Formula One driver and television presenter, will officially open The Scottish Caravan & Outdoor Leisure Show on 3rd February 2011, from The Club stand (H30).

The show, Scotland’s only dedicated event for caravanners and those who love the outdoor life, will take place at the SECC, Glasgow from 3 - 6 February 2011. This year’s show is a one stop shop providing products and services from over 150 companies. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal to the latest 2011 models from all the major caravan and motorhome manufacturers. There will be holiday parks and the largest collection of holiday homes in the UK, as well as outdoor leisure accessories, camping equipment, small boats, marine products, industry clubs and associations.

Lawrence Bate, Marketing Director for The Caravan Club’s comments, “We are looking forward to David Coulthard opening the show and sharing his experiences of motor caravanning throughout his motoring career. As well as telling us about all the luxurious Motor Caravans in the F1 paddock! The Caravan Club offers over 150 locations across Scotland and Club members spend a whopping £19m in local economies when caravanning in Scotland.”

Advance ticket* prices have been held at 2009 levels and cost £7 or £6 for seniors - anyone booking an advance ticket will receive a Towsure voucher to spend at the show which gives £5 off when £50 or over is spent.  On-the-door tickets are £10 each or £9 for seniors. Kids go free (under 16s). All tickets include a show brochure, RRP £5.  The show will be open from 10am until 6pm daily.
