Heat up Valentine's Day with a trip to Jamaica

26th January 2011 Print

A romantic break to Jamaica is not only the perfect way to inject some 'heat' into Valentine's Day this year but is also a memorable gift for that special person.

More than just beaches and warm Caribbean waters, Jamaica has it all for the romantic at heart. Spend quality time drifting down the Great River on a bamboo raft just big enough for two or enjoy a moon-lit couple's only horseback ride and swim. Couples may also wander around some of the beautiful botanical gardens and look out for the national bird; the streamer tailed humming bird locally called 'Doctor Bird'.

End the perfect day with a sunset massage and then enjoy a romantic dinner in a private, candlelit cave overlooking the sea, sampling well-known Jamaican dishes that are reputed to have an aphrodisiac effect. You will awake understanding why we say.... 'Jamaica, once you go, you know.'
