Cornwall hotel offers fuel for free

The Mount Haven Hotel - Cornwall

A West Cornwall Hotel is offering their guests the chance to beat record breaking hikes at the petrol pumps by paying the cost of their guests’ fuel for the journey down to the hotel.

The Mount Haven Hotel looks out across Mount’s Bay and St Michaels Mount in the picturesque ancient market town of Marazion, just outside Penzance in West Cornwall.

Sitting at the far end of the country, just thirteen miles from Land’s End, the owners of the hotel are very conscious of the rising costs associated with reaching these far flung corners of the country.

The hotel proprietor Mike Trevillion said, ‘’With this year’s rises in fuel costs and VAT, we feel that people are terrified every time they fill up. The cost of petrol is now a major consideration when making travel plans and after such a grim winter we want to encourage people to travel to beautiful West Cornwall to catch the first promise of Spring.”

The offer will run for the whole of February (2011) and will be available to anyone booking a stay of two or more nights from now until the end of February. Guests wishing to receive a refund for their fuel should provide a receipt for the fuel upon check-in to receive a deduction from the cost of their stay.

Mike added, “As well as offering free fuel, our guests will still get our usual great offers in our hotel and restaurant. ’’
