AEGON discounts UK equity and fixed income funds
AEGON Asset Management is discounting the initial charge on 12 of its leading ethical, UK equity and fixed income funds, as well as its innovative Inflation Linked Fund.
The discount means investors can access the top performing AEGON Ethical Cautious Managed Fund and AEGON High Yield Fund, which are both number one in their respective IMA sectors. The AEGON Ethical Cautious Managed Fund run by Iain Buckle and Elaine Morgan is currently number one out of 155 funds in the IMA Cautious Managed Sector, while the AEGON High Yield Fund managed by Phil Milburn is number one in its IMA sector over both one and three years.
The AEGON Inflation Linked Fund launched its retail share class in November 2010, it aims to mitigate investors growing concerns over the effects of inflation to their capital, by investing in a portfolio of directly and indirectly inflation linked investment vehicles. This could include fixed income such as inflation linked bonds, equities, currencies, commodities and cash.
The discount also applies to six of AEGON Asset Management's equity funds, including its Ethical Equity, UK Equity Absolute Return, UK Equity, UK Equity Income, UK Opportunities and UK Smaller Companies funds, as well three of its other leading fixed income funds, the Ethical Corporate Bond, Investment Grade Bond and Strategic Bond funds.
The discount period, which runs from the 1st February to 29th April 2011, will reduce the initial charges on the Inflation Linked and equity funds to 3% from 5.5% and the bond funds to 3% from 4.5%. The offer applies to UK domiciled funds only.
