Part-exchange helps Ayrshire family move up the property ladder
The Ayling family enjoyed a quick and easy move to a bigger, better brand new home in Kilwinning, Ayrshire with help from Redrow.
Steven explained: “My wife Alexis and I started thinking about moving to a four-bedroom property after our daughter Grace was born. We went to look at the Redrow show home at Whitehirst Grange in Kilwinning and thought it looked lovely, but didn’t think that we would be able to sell our old home in the current climate. Linda, the sales consultant, explained about part-exchange and how it would help us move up the property ladder.
“Part-exchange couldn’t have been easier, it was absolutely brilliant. Everyone says that the most stressful things are getting married, having a baby and moving house. I’ve moved house before and it has been stressful, but this time it wasn’t at all.”
The couple, who were moving from a three-bedroom property in Saltcoats were interested in the four-bedroom ‘Roadford’, but as their preferred housetype was yet to be built at Whitehirst Grange, they travelled to Sylvan Brae in Inverkip to see what it would look like.
“The ‘Roadford’ is really roomy, just what we wanted and the price Redrow offered for our old home was just what we were looking for and made it easier for us to move,” Steven commented.
Alexis and Steven also liked the fact that their house was brand new and hadn’t been lived in by anyone else. It meant they could put their own stamp on the property from day one.
“The house we were in before was two years old when we moved in and, while no house is perfect, it’s the little things that make a difference, like the walls being white rather than magnolia,” Steven said.
“Our home features Redrow’s newest specification interiors and you can tell how they’ve improved on the designs. They’re more modern and the family, kitchen and dining area is cracking.”
