Investors go global for ISA investments

15th February 2011 Print

Discount broker Willis Owen has released its best selling funds for January 2011. The figures show that investors continue to look for adventurous global funds within their ISA portfolio this year. Among the most popular funds were the Neptune Global Equity Fund and the First State Asia Pacific Fund.

Alan Easter said: "With inflation threatening to run riot and saving rates at historically low levels savers continue to look for alternative options for their investments.

"The Neptune Global Equity Fund is one for the more adventurous investor, as there is often reasonably high exposure to higher risk markets within this globally-invested fund. But investors clearly back this fund, managed by the well respected Robin Geffen for the past ten years. It has produced very strong, albeit more volatile, performance since launch relative to its peers. Other high risk funds currently proving popular are the JP Morgan Natural Resources fund and the First State Asia Pacific Fund.

"A wide variety of options are open to investors this ISA season depending on their appetite for risk."
