Oxford is steeped in history, as the city of dreaming spires has long captivated both the hearts of the poetic and the minds of the academic.

The refurbished bedrooms are due to officially open on 19th February 2011, and promise to reflect the hotel’s status within Oxford’s historic past.  Each of the 12 rooms has been named after Oxford Colleges (Christchurch, St John’s, Trinity, Magdalen etc).  Colour schemes in the rooms will also reflect the sense of history and status, with rich ruby and amethyst tones, complimented by contemporary ascents.  Upgraded Clarins toiletries will also come as standard, along with Divine chocolate bars and a complimentary drinks tray (to include soft drinks, mineral water and mini bottles of wine), robes, slippers and a complimentary newspaper.  The majority of these rooms will also overlook the beautifully landscaped lawns leading down to the River Thames, and the majestic St John’s College barge.
