Croft Circuit brings the best of British Motor Sport to North East

Croft Circuit will again attract the very best in British motor sport to the North East in 2011, including the UK’s premier motorcycle and car race championships plus a weekend of top-class historic motor sport.
The popular race circuit just outside Darlington has confirmed a fixture list of no less than 11 action-packed events offering great variety for the public. Topping the bill are the star-studded MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship (13-15 May) and Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (18-19 June) – the premier two and four-wheeled race series in the country.
Following the runaway success of 2010’s inaugural event Croft’s Nostalgia Weekend will also return (6-7 August), providing a highly-charismatic two-day festival of historic motor sport. In addition, there’s non-stop off-track entertainment themed across the Forties right through to the Seventies and with an open invitation to the public to dress in period costume to add an authentic retro feel.
A further eight events attracting the very best in club-level motorcycle, race and rally car action are also in store – more details will follow shortly.
Furthermore, Croft is continuing its much-applauded policy of free admission for children aged 15 and under. In addition, with an ‘open paddock’ for all and superb views of the on-track action, each event appeals greatly to family audiences as well as casual and seasoned motor sport enthusiasts. There’s also the opportunity to book tickets early and save money compared to on-the-gate prices by visiting the croftcircuit.co.uk website.
