TTavistock Residents Enjoy A Taste Of The High Life at Manor Oaks

Tavistock residents could have been forgiven for thinking they’d stepped back in time after seeing a traditional Charabanc and town crier in the town centre at the weekend encouraging people to visit ‘The Manor House’, Taylor Wimpey Exeter’s stunning development in the town.

The leading house builder held a ‘Downton Abbey’ themed event to celebrate the completion of ‘The Manor House’, a re-creation of the original Manor House which was part of the estate of the Duke of Bedford.

Visitors were welcomed by the butler and treated to a delicious afternoon tea served by the maid. Old photographs of the original house were on display, enabling those interested to see how closely Taylor Wimpey had followed its original design.

Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “The Manor House is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate its completion than with an event full of pomp and grandeur. The Charabanc was extremely popular and its driver was certainly kept busy ferrying guests between the development and town; needless to say the delicious cakes and sandwiches also went down a treat!”

The new Manor House, built to reflect many of the characteristics of the original Manor House that stood for 150 years until falling into a state of irreparable disrepair, offers a perfect combination of modern finishes with classic style.

The apartments have been designed to provide both practical and versatile living space whilst retaining a sense of grandeur. Features include bay windows, fitted kitchens, floor coverings, and under floor heating to offer an added touch of luxury.

Janine adds: “There’s been a great deal of interest in the apartments which are set within ‘The Manor House’, especially amongst those looking for a new home in idyllic surroundings but within close proximity of all that Tavistock centre has to offer. I’d encourage those looking for a more relaxed pace of life away from the hustle and bustle of town centre developments, to pay us a visit now to find out more.”

In addition to the stunning accommodation, the development’s location has definitely got the ‘wow’ factor and residents will feel like they’re in their own private grounds as they explore the eight acres of parkland which the development is nestled amongst.

‘The Manor House’ is located in mature parkland close to the award-winning, historic market town of Tavistock and the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. The local area provides excellent transport links, both nationally and internationally, and in nearby Gunnislake there is a railway station with frequent trains to Plymouth.

Prices for a two bedroom apartment in ‘The Manor House’ currently start from just £139,995 For further information, visit the information centre which is open every day from 11.00am until 5.30pm.
