Redrow ups the style stakes in North Manchester

Redrow has upped the style stakes in North Manchester, where two show homes have been given a makeover.
The award-winning housebuilder is working with Manchester City Council to provide new homes in the Moston and Harpurhey areas of the city.
So far more than 30 properties have been sold, with the first residents now settled in their new homes at Hanson Gardens. And with the re-opening of the show homes, Redrow anticipates renewed interest from potential purchasers.
Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “We’ve had lots of interest in the homes at Hanson Gardens and nearby Kenyon Gardens and people have been impressed by the quality we offer for such affordable prices. In response to customer feedback we’ve further improved on the designs, increasing the size of some of the bedrooms to make them more appealing to growing families.”
The new look show homes will be open to view from Saturday, March 12th.
In keeping with the properties in the surrounding area, new Redrow homes in Moston look traditional from the outside. Inside they boast extra generous master bedrooms and living spaces, plus special measures to make them more energy and water efficient. They are fully accessible and easily adaptable for occupation by a disabled person.
“The three-bedroom ‘Buttermere’ is proving particularly popular and in one week alone we have sold three homes in this style. People like the fact that it has a double front as it reminds them of the pictures they drew of their dream home when they were children. Inside it enjoys an open plan kitchen and dining room, with a separate lounge to sit back and relax in at the end of a busy day,” Lesley commented.
Hanson Gardens, in Hugo Street off Lightbowne Road, offers a choice of two and three-bedroom properties; while over at Kenyon Gardens in Kenyon Lane three and four-bedroom homes are available.
The ‘Buttermere’ is on the market at £139,950. Thanks to an equity scheme administered by the council, customers can defer paying up to 25% of the purchase price for up to 10 years. It means the ‘Buttermere’ could be yours for an initial outlay of just £103,463.
“The equity loan scheme is designed to ease the transition for purchasers from renting or living with family to owning a home of their own,” Lesley explained. “It’s already helped dozens of people make their first step onto the property ladder. Many of them were delighted to discover that they only needed a relatively small deposit yet could still access some of the more favourable interest rates normally reserved for those with large deposits.”
