House hunters in the east of Scotland’s central belt should act fast if they want to call one of three popular Redrow developments ‘home’.

Purchasers have been keen to snap up properties at Graemeslea in Aberuthven, The Potteries in Prestonpans and Optima in Edinburgh. They have been among the housebuilder’s most popular developments in Scotland, with just a handful of properties yet to be sold at each location.

Mary McHutchison, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), commented: “The sales success we have seen at these three developments shows that despite the doom and gloom in the media about the economic climate there’s still a demand for quality built homes. By offering the right product, in the right place and at the right price we’ve been able to capture a significant slice of the market, offering house hunters a choice of city centre apartments, large and luxurious homes and everything in between.”

The final five detached villas at Graemeslea offer purchasers the opportunity to sample country living at its best. Priced from £347,000, each of the remaining homes has five bedrooms. They are all build complete and simply waiting for the finishing touches that help turn a house into a home. They’re close the quaint town of Auchterarder as well as some glorious Perthshire countryside.

Those with an existing property to sell could still have the chance to be part of this thriving community and secure themselves a quick move via part-exchange. With Redrow effectively acting as a cash buyer for a customer’s old home, it’s the smart way to move up the property ladder.

Conveniently located between the city and the countryside, the final three homes at The Potteries, in Prestonpans, are the ideal choice for families and those who want to choose their pace in life. A two-bedroom apartment at The Potteries is available for £133,000; while three-bedroom homes are priced from £165,000.

The Potteries enjoys the community atmosphere of village living with a range of leisure facilities just a short distance away. Close to the coast, it’s just 10 miles from Edinburgh with easy access to the city by road and rail.

At Optima there’s a chance to sample city living without the city centre price tag. The three remaining two-bedroom apartments are on the market from £130,000 and are perfect for first time buyers. Edinburgh city centre is easily reached by public transport.

“Whatever rung of the property ladder you’re on there’s a Redrow home for you. But if you want to snap up one of the final properties at Graemeslea, The Potteries or Optima you should act fast to avoid disappointment,” Mary commented.

“Our friendly, experienced team of sales advisers will guide you through the home buying process, making it as simple and as straight forward as possible. They can also hopefully tailor an incentive to suit your circumstances.”

All new Redrow homes boast fashionable kitchens with the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage; while bathrooms and en-suites enjoy quality fixtures and fittings with an exclusive tile range.

“It could cost up to £30,000 to bring an older three-bedroom property up to the same standard of one of our new homes,” Mary explained. “Our customers don’t have to worry about DIY or inheriting someone else’s decor, but will enjoy the peace of mind of a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty. Plus because new build homes are designed to be energy efficient, with central heating and double glazing as standard they’re potentially cheaper to run than their second hand counterparts.”
