Redrow scores support from Wolves legend

Wolves' idol Steve Bull helped Redrow kick off its latest venture by officially opening new show homes in Bilston.
Located in Dudley Street, Chestnut Walk is just a short journey away from Molineux, the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The development’s close proximity to the stadium made local hero ‘Bully’ the obvious choice to assist Wolves and Redrow chairman Steve Morgan launch the new homes along with Pat McFadden MP for Wolverhampton South East.
A Wolves player from 1986 to 1999, Bully holds the club’s goal scoring record with more than 300 goals in all competitions, including 50 goals in two consecutive seasons and a club record of 18 hat-tricks.
Capped 13 times for England, he scored four goals for his country.
Steve Morgan, who bought Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in 2007 and saw the club promoted to the Premiership two years later, said: “Born in nearby Tipton and educated locally, Bully was the ideal candidate to help us launch Chestnut Walk. We are delighted that he was able to join us as we celebrated this milestone in the business. I’m sure he appreciated the Wolves themed bedroom in one of the show homes.”
The homes at Chestnut Walk are from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, which was championed by Redrow founder Steve when he returned to the business in 2009 after a seven-year break.
Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts era, the new housing collection was designed to make Redrow’s homes stand out from the crowd and give them a competitive edge. The homes also satisfy the consumer’s desire for a traditional looking home, perhaps evocative of the one they grew up in; but with the latest, high specification interiors.
“The introduction of the New Heritage Collection has proved to be a great success for our business across the country, contributing to an uplift in sales. By June we will have New Heritage product at 70% of Redrow locations UK-wide,” said Steve.
“Chestnut Walk is the seventh development in the wider Midlands area to feature the New Heritage designs and our second in the Black Country, following close on the heels of Heritage Gardens, in Tipton. We also have new ventures scheduled to launch very soon in Rubery and Worcester.
“We’ve had excellent feedback from customers in Tipton and other Midlands’ locations, with lots of visitors commenting on the high quality of our kitchens and bathrooms and pleasantly surprised by how many desirable features are included as standard. I’m confident that the people of Bilston will be equally impressed by the high standard of the properties at Chestnut Walk.”
Styled by a team of professional interior designers, the three-bedroom ‘Warwick’ and four-bedroom ‘Shrewsbury’ show homes at Chestnut Walk showcase the high quality of Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, including the convivial and family friendly nature of their open-plan layouts and the high quality fixtures and fittings.
Located in the heart of the Black Country alongside the Birmingham Canal, Chestnut Walk is close to Bilston town centre. Bilston is on the Midland Metro tramline, which links Wolverhampton and Birmingham, while easy access to the M5 and M6 motorways makes it a great place for commuters to put down roots.
