MBNA launches new cash back credit cards

MBNA has announced the launch of its first cash back credit cards for UK customers. The two new cards - the MBNA American Express Credit Card with cash back and the MBNA Visa Credit Card with cash back - offer customers the opportunity to earn as they spend through leading cash back deals.

Will Curley, product executive for MBNA, said: "With fuel and shopping costs continuing to rise, we want to give our UK customers greater value when using their credit cards for every day spending.

"These cards have no annual fees and no limit on the amount of cash back our customers can earn for their card purchases."

MBNA American Express Credit Card with cash back

The card offers unlimited cash back at 1.5% on purchases at most major supermarkets and petrol stations and 0.75% on all other card purchases.

MBNA Visa Credit Card with cash back

The card offers unlimited cash back at 1.25% on supermarket and fuel purchases and 0.5% on all other card purchases.

Both cards have a representative rate of 18.9%APR variable.

Mr Curley added: "We are constantly searching for ways to bring greater choice and value to the UK credit card market; these two new products reinforce that commitment."

The products will be available online at mbna.co.uk from March 16th 2011.
