Honda launches 'countdown to BTCC' website

Honda (UK) has launched a website counting down to the start of the Dunlop British Touring Car Championship, which begins in just over two weeks' time on 3 April.

The new site kick-starts the Honda Racing Team’s challenge for the 2011 Championship. Last season, the team took two out of three titles and is aiming for a clean sweep this year. The URL for the teaser site is: honda.co.uk/btcc

A countdown clock on the website is ticking down to the first race at Brand Hatch in Kent on Sunday 3 April, alongside a video featuring ‘sneak-peek’ footage of Honda drivers Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden during pre-season testing.

From 1 April, the site will develop into a content rich, interactive portal with behind-the-scenes stories, images and videos, live updates during each qualifying sessions and race weekends, insights into the team drivers and competitions to win Honda Racing prizes.

The website launch coincides with the introduction of two new social media channels to support the Honda Racing Team efforts in 2011. A new, official Facebook page will allow fans to interact with drivers, ask questions, comment during races and learn more about the team and the Honda Civic race cars. on.fb.me/ijw2IW
