Peak Performance wins major safety award

Chesterfield-based driver training experts Peak Performance have won The Fleet Safety Award in the 2011 Fleet News Awards, arguably the most prestigious accolade that a supplier can acquire in the UK vehicle fleet industry.

At a glittering Grosvenor House Hotel function last night [Wednesday March 16, 2011], Peak Performance’s founder and CEO, James Sutherland, made a familiar walk to the stage to collect the trophy – this is the fourth time in a decade that the company has had its work in business driver safety recognised in this way.

Witnessing the occasion, and with a broad smile on his face, Managing Director Richard Hill said: “I’m sure what clinched it for us was the ability to demonstrate that real customers had gained real benefits from working with us. We were able to name names and describe the genuine business advantage of dramatically reducing vehicle collisions, not only the big crashes but the small ones too.

“This accolade is testimony to the dedication and commitment not only of our staff behind the scenes up at Chesterfield but also our brilliant advanced driver trainers all over the UK, who make our courses so effective and enjoyable.”

Peak Performance was also runner up in the overall Fleet Supplier Award, which was contested by dozens of well established companies, many of whom would be house-hold names. The company was also Highly Commended in the Customer Services Award.
