Race is on for discount pageant tickets

The Cholmondeley Pageant of Power is expected to welcome record numbers of visitors this year (Friday 15 to Sunday 17 July), and the organisers have confirmed that those who visit cpop.co.uk to book tickets before May can save up to a third on the cost. Adult entry tickets are available for just £15 (£20 if purchased on the day) for access on either the Saturday or Sunday, while up to two children’s tickets are currently free (£10 on the day) with a paying adult.
The biggest saving is a third off the price of the Fireworks Concert ticket, which currently costs just £20. The Concert, scheduled this year for the evening of Saturday 16 July, has been a highlight of the region’s social calendar since 1989, with the exceptional setting, spectacular fireworks display and emotive music all contributing to a ‘Proms in the Park’ atmosphere. Last year’s Military Tattoo theme proved so popular it will be repeated in 2011.
Those looking to spend the whole weekend on the Cholmondeley Estate, whether camping or in a caravan, can also make savings of up to 25 per cent per night when booking before the end of April.
More action-packed than ever – with race cars classic and modern, helicopters, hovercrafts, powerboats and the UK’s only British Army combat power simulation – the 2011 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power will offer more bangs-per-buck than any other UK event, making it the perfect family day out.
The Pageant is located in the Cholmondeley Estate in Cheshire, and was created to celebrate power and performance in its many forms. Winning the Best Tourist Event in Cheshire, and drawing in more than 50,000 visitors in 2010, the Pageant of Power has fast gained a reputation that makes early booking essential.
James Hall, Events Director for the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, commented: “The 2010 Pageant was a wonderful occasion and visitor numbers exceeded all our expectations. It was thrilling to walk around the park over the weekend, seeing tens of thousands of people enjoying the amazing displays.
“We’re expecting even larger numbers of visitors this year, so buying tickets now, saving money at the same time, will give visitors the best opportunity to witness some of the marvellous attractions,” added Hall.
The Pageant will not only be a draw for petrolheads and motorsport fans. For example, four different classes of international powerboat will undertake full-throttle runs on the lake neighbouring the race track. For those that like action of a more explosive nature, there will also be a display of British Army combat power, featuring tanks, troops and field artillery all engaged in a breathtaking battle simulation.
