The latest hi-tech Ferrari and Maserati service centre in Europe will open its doors today (Tuesday, May 8), when Joe Macari Servicing welcomes its first customers to the new 20,000 sqft, state-of-the-art Wimbledon workshop.

The new centre hosted a glittering launch party on Thursday, attended by many of the capital's celebrity Ferrari owners, including Frank Lampard and Frankie Dettori, with guests surrounded by a stunning collection of Ferrari and Maserati road and race cars. From today, the centre will offer servicing and repairs to London's most discerning Ferrari and Maserati drivers.

The development will house a team of factory-trained technicians, working across thirteen pristine service bays, including a Ferrari hi-tech diagnostic bay.

Joe Macari Servicing is creating history as the first stand-alone service and repair centre to be awarded official Ferrari and Maserati status in the UK. This recognition reflects the esteem in which Macari's operation is held by the world's most evocative automotive marques.

Massimo Fedeli, Managing Director of Ferrari GB said: ‘Ferrari offers customers the most exclusive driving experience in the world, backed by the best customer service possible. We are delighted to welcome Joe Macari as an official Ferrari service centre offering the highest standards to our clients.’

Joe Macari, Managing Director, is thrilled to have realised his ambitious plans: 'Like most lads, owning a Ferrari was my ultimate boyhood dream. Once I became a dealer, I began to develop a very clear idea of what the ultimate Ferrari workshop should look like and it's hugely rewarding to see my vision become reality as an official Ferrari service centre.’

Having opened his Wandsworth performance car showroom in 2000, Macari has enjoyed regular custom from an A-list London client base, which includes footballers, film stars, models and sporting personalities.

Joe Macari's passion for the 'prancing horse' is not limited to working hours. The 40-year-old is also an enthusiastic racing driver, who will this year compete alongside Red Bull Racing's Technical Director, Adrian Newey, in the world-famous Le Mans 24 Hour race in a Ferrari F430 GT2 as well as contesting the FIA GT Championship with Birmingham-based businessman, Ben Aucott, in Maserati’s world-beating MC12.
