Allianz highlights importance of warranty for 3D console
With the Nintendo 3DS already doubling the pre-order sales of the Nintendo Wii, Allianz Corporate Partner is advising consumers to make sure they take out extended warranty for their 3DS consoles.
From tomorrow, customers will be able to purchase the first 3D gaming console from online and high street retailers. With the console having already exceeded 65,000 pre-orders, retailers are expecting to see many keen gamers on the high street this weekend.
Customers who purchase the portable console will only need to pay £39.99 to have it protected for two years - a small price to pay for a £219.99 console. This will protect the console against accidental damage from the day the product is purchased and it will cover the repair costs if the product fails to operate as the result of an accident.
Steve Burrell, partnership development manager for Allianz Corporate Partner, said: "The launch of the Nintendo 3DS has shown that the possibilities for games consoles are endless with more people now using them as complete entertainment centres.
"As gaming enthusiasts spend more money to keep up-to-date with the latest consoles, it's important that they protect their investments by taking out some form of insurance cover."
Allianz Corporate Partner currently provides extended warranties to Europe's leading video games retailer, GAME.
